[...] Locally owned and operated Carpets by Otto has been able to stand the tests of time by changing along with a changing industry. Although the company started out by selling basic carpet, they have grown and added new products and more selections over the years, including the tiles and hardwoods that were once considered more of a specialty item.
General manager Alan Woody says, "In the last five to ten years, there have been a lot of companies that were really big in this town that have disappeared. But I'm firmly convinced that ten or fifteen years from now, Carpets by Otto will still be here, we'll still have a good reputation, and we'll still be doing things the right way."
He points out that Carpets by Otto offers closer contact with its customers and has never lost its focus on how to conduct business. In the long run, he says, it comes down to knowing how to satisfy customers.
