[...] "Levis Commons has gotten so much attention, I'm kind of overwhelmed," he admitted. "The response is so incredible just from the sign being up, 'Coming Soon Carpets by Otto.' "
"There's a lot of chatter that generates interest that eventually turns into sales," added his wife. "We have a lot of people that are looking forward to us getting out there in that area."
One common misperception about Carpets by Otto is that they sell only carpeting. They sell and install all flooring for residential and commercial applications carpet, ceramic tile, sheet vinyl, laminates, hardwood. As well as area rugs. "If it goes on a floor, we have it," boasts one of their brochures.
Dee says their marketing hasn't changed over the years. "Basically we are who we've always been. We haven't suddenly changed and decided like, 'Oh we're going to go out to Levis, let's go for a ritzy market.' That's crazy. We're going to have stuff out there for everybody. We're just dedicated to that. This is Toledo, these are our neighbors."
The 10,000 square-foot Levis Commons location will be a full showroom with a Shaw Design Center, including their Kathy Ireland collection. [...]
